We humbly invite you to participate with Peter Slaney’s Scenic and Wildlife Images in honoring the legacy of Grizzly 399 and supporting Grizzly Bears through the conservation efforts of the Vital Ground Foundation (VGF). VGF is a land trust dedicated to conserving and connecting habitats for Grizzlies and other wildlife while promoting coexistence between bears and human communities.

The recent tragic loss of Grizzly 399, affectionately known as “Queen of the Tetons,” underscores the urgent need to protect Grizzly Bears as well as the critical habitats they rely on. As one of the world’s most beloved bears, Grizzly 399 inspired countless people to appreciate these majestic animals and the wild spaces they call home. Now there’s a meaningful way to help carry on her legacy through Grizzly conservation and partnership with VGF.  

The 399 Legacy Collection features a breathtaking illustration of Grizzly 399 created by award-winning photographer, artist and publisher, Peter Slaney.  Peter has been documenting our Queen of the Tetons for years through his photography and was inspired to give back. By creating a beautiful rendition of our beloved bear and making it available on a variety of apparel items for all to proudly wear, now everyone can support our efforts of donating back to a cause that has given us so much joy and appreciation! 

With every purchase of our 399 Legacy Collection—featuring that gorgeous rendition of Grizzly 399 on high-quality t-shirts, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies—15% of that purchase will be donated to the protection of essential Grizzly habitat through VGF.   By supporting this initiative, you’re joining a legacy of care and commitment to both Grizzly 399 as well as the magnificent landscapes she loved and inhabited.  Together, we can make a lasting impact on Grizzly conservation and show our gratitude for an iconic bear who incited the wonder of the wild and impacted hearts worldwide!
